ORVIBO releases new IoT operating system, R&D team rewrites 5 million lines of code

On May 18, smart-home company ORVIBO unveiled its annual new products, introducing HomeAI OS 4.0, an all-new intelligent IoT operating system with full Matter protocol compatibility.

HomeAI OS 4.0 comprehensively upgrades the Xiao Ou voice assistant. Its all-new ONE STEP technology makes every device wake-word free; near-field wake-up 3.0 human-machine interaction positioning, combined with distributed mixed/direct-source separation sound-source localisation and multi-layer noise suppression, delivers faster, more accurate whole-space interaction — no more devices all responding at once. HomeAI OS 4.0 also introduces AUTO LIGHT adaptive dimming, which adjusts the home's lighting according to 24-hour changes in external sunlight so people stay comfortable at all times.

HomeAI OS 4.0 also supports MatriShield™ full-link bidirectional security technology, authenticating both device and gateway to protect user privacy; the new Jupiter and Octopus technologies merge Bluetooth, WiFi and Zigbee into a single three-network fusion, greatly improving wireless stability and disaster tolerance; and Nature Link whole-space ultra-long-range touch-free onboarding solves bulk device onboarding — a 1,000-square-metre villa can join the network the moment power is on.

HomeAI OS 4.0 further builds the Newton Engine, an everything-engine for device onboarding and interaction based on a strong-fog model. It is fully compatible with the Matter protocol and all IoT communication protocols, and through the open HADC it enables one-stop configuration, multi-terminal synchronisation and no-code onboarding.

“HomeAI OS 4.0's mission is not merely to connect everything; more importantly, it gives home devices more proactive intelligence and better human-machine interaction. Only by applying all-scenario, multi-modal interaction and proactive intelligence across whole-home devices can we reshape how people and spaces interact and connect, and create an exquisitely intelligent way of living,” Mark stressed. ORVIBO's R&D team rewrote 5 million lines of code, comprehensively optimising and upgrading the system kernel layer, service layer and application architecture, and thoroughly resolving Android's shortcomings in security, privacy and heat generation that prevent long-term operation.

Beyond the operating system, ORVIBO also launched several hardware products at the event, including the dual-screen smart voice switch MixPad Defy and the next-generation natural-light-inspired smart Cangqiong lighting series.

In addition, ORVIBO launched MixPad 7 Ultra, its first decorative smart screen, which blends the smart voice screen into the wall. It is available in three pioneering finishes — walnut, B&O-matched smoked-green fabric, and flowing silver aluminium — so users can easily match minimalist, modern or light-luxury styles, giving smart homes genuine spatial aesthetic value.

Another highlight of the event was the Cangqiong lamp, an all-new next-generation natural-light-inspired smart light. It uses a precise light-mixing algorithm that adds 6500K white light to 480nm blue light to achieve a realistic blue-sky mixed-light effect. The lamp also uses side-emitting technology to simulate the cut-off line sunlight forms when passing through a skylight, working together with the blue-sky surface to create a more realistic blue-sky ambience. It also has built-in 16-million-colour RGBCW ambient soft light, producing a rich range of nature-inspired scenes so people can enjoy the world's finest scenery at home.
