On June 6, at WWDC22, Apple announced full support for Matter, with ORVIBO, Google and others among the first brands to back it; more than 130 Matter-enabled products are planned for market. As a bellwether for global internet technology, Apple's WWDC22 announcement signals that the Matter era has truly arrived.

The Matter standard has drawn intense interest since its inception, and its development will have a revolutionary impact on the IoT industry. Over the past year or so, driven by international tech giants such as Apple, Google and Amazon — and through the unremitting efforts of smart-home leaders including ORVIBO — interoperability between smart devices has advanced considerably. As a participant in and advocate of the Matter protocol, ORVIBO has also made ample preparations in Matter technology development. In 2022, ORVIBO not only launched a number of new products with full Matter support, but older products with the necessary hardware can also gain Matter support through OTA upgrades. In May, ORVIBO released a major upgrade to HomeAIOS 4.0, making it the second domestic IoT operating system after HarmonyOS to break away from Android. The core purpose of HomeAIOS is to solve connectivity and scenario-application problems for smart-home products, and while the Matter protocol is not the only means to that end for HomeAIOS, it matters a great deal. As the Matter era arrives in full, and with the combined strength of smart hardware and operating systems, ORVIBO — a "little giant" of whole-home intelligence — stands to gain even greater opportunities.
